After you download the mod. If there is more than one file click file and then select all, if there is only one then click the file. Then select copy or copy to can't remember off hand which will bring up a screen with it's location. I have only started using mods for ATS just now but the procedure is the same for all mods.
The mod folder should exist in your My Documents, American Truck Simulator, if not just create one by double clicking the American Truck Simulator file in Your My Documents folder, then select create folder and name it mod.
